~* "Sense" - sational Sunday *~ (the sticky, yucky, muggy version!)

******UPDATE, 3:57PM EDT: Somehow I think I managed to delete the comments that were left on this post. I think it was Tina, Marion, and Lacey that left comments. Girls, I am so sorry I am such a dope!!! I know there must be some way to recover them but I haven't figured it out yet. I didn't want you all to think I purposely deleted your comments. I love to hear from you!!!

******UPDATE, 4:01PM EDT: It turns out I really am a dope.....a BIG one!!! LOL The comments I was looking at were from the previous post!!! D'oh!!! Nevermind me!!!

Each week on GLU we try to post about
observing our world through our senses. I am trying to remember to post it here, too. Here is this week's list.

I see: Piles and piles of laundry. That seems to be a theme for me on Sundays. I seem to let it get away from me all week then end up doing 5 or 6 loads on Sunday. I guess it is not a bad thing in the winter when we tend to stay in a lot on Sundays, or on gross, humid days like today when we don't want to be outdoors, but when Sundays are perfect, like a New England autumn Sunday, having to do laundry all day will be a problem. Note to self: must work on a better system before September!

I hear: The lawnmower. Kevin is so good! He won't let the humidity stop him from doing what he needs to do! Dang near puts me to shame. But, I do hear the washer and dryer going so I am being productive, too! Right?

I smell: Laundry detergent! I love that scent...the scent of clean clothes and fresh sheets and towels. When you do load after load the scent of the detergent wafts through the house. And if I crack the window open, I can smell the intoxicating scent of freshly cut grass.

I taste: Greek Pasta Salad that I made for us! Yum! One of our favorite light summer meals. So tasty. See the recipe below!

I touch: Hmmm...can you guess??? Clothes, towels, and sheets!!! So original, huh?!?

I feel: Thankful. Thankful that we had my parents here with us all weekend. Thankful that I have a husband who loves me for me. Thankful that he is so helpful. Thankful the humidity is supposed to break tomorrow. Thankful that we will have a weekend away very soon. Thankful for some amazing friends in my life!

Recipe for: Greek Pasta Salad

1 box farfalle pasta
1 cup chick peas
1 small container cherry tomatoes, halved
1 bunch baby spinach, torn in to pieces
1 cup pitted Kalamata olives
1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
Greek Vinegairette dressing, to taste

Cook pasta in water salted with Sea Salt. Cook al dente. Once cool toss with all the ingredients. Let sit in fridge for a few hours so the flavors have a chance to meld. Serve cold or at room temp. Enjoy!
