Just one little word...

One little word can be a powerful force. Just one word. Are you familiar with the concept of one little word? Have you chosen your word yet? This is the third year in a row I have done this, and this year is going to be the best yet. Why, you ask? Because 2009 is going to be MY year! It is going to be a damn great year! And in case you are unsure what my word for 2009 is, just know that I am going to SHINE in '09!

2008 was a so-so year, one I am not sorry to see end. Actually, 2007 was kind of like that, too. 2009 is going to be different. Very different. I am going to shine. I don't know how, or why, or at what. I just...know. And that is all I need right now.

So as these last hours of 2008 tick away and 2009 gets ready to make its grand entrance, I will state my intentions, to myself, of how I intend to SHINE in '09! I don't do resolutions. So I am not "resolving" to shine. I intend to shine. Intentions are powerful, too. Sending your intentions out to the universe can help you to manifest them in to reality.

So what fun plans does everyone have for tonight? Are you a stay-in-and-watch-the-ball-drop type of person or an out-on-the-town-party-all-night type of person? We stay in. It is a cozy, casual, watch the ball drop type of night in the DeSimone household. And it is snowing here right now, anyway, and by the time the storm is over later tonight we are supposed to have about 9" of fresh new snow out there. I think our living room couch and a roaring fire sound pretty darn good!

Well, I have to bake some cookies for tonight, and get a few other things ready. Happy New Years Eve!!! Don't forget to pick your word!
