We had an unexpected surprise tonight. Our good friends Christa and Kevin invited us to join them for dinner to
celebrate Kevin's birthday! And they were going to one of our favorite restaurants that we hadn't been to in a while. They love Mexican food and we have a great Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant here called
The Border Cafe. I actually worked there when they first opened! I was all of 19 years old. They make THE best margaritas ever.....so good that in my, ahem, younger years, I drank a few too many of them at our Christmas party and got pretty sick and couldn't bear the thought of them for many years. But now that I am older and wiser I know how to enjoy them, uh,
responsibly. But, I digress...what else is new?! I tend to go off on tangents a lot...what was I saying?. Oh yeah! Our night out! The restaurant was packed when we got there but no worries...we always have so much to talk about. And to think we met through our humble little blogs! We had a great time...so great, in fact, I don't have any pictures to share. Sometimes you just have to be in the moment, ya know! There is nothing like a fun Friday night with good friends!!!
So what is on tap for everyone's weekend? Tomorrow Bailey has an appointment to have his vaccines updated. Oh how I hate being there to see our little guy have to get shots, even though he is so good about it. I am the one who is the big baby! Luckily I got a Saturday appointment...so Kevin can go!!! Then tomorrow night our nephew sleeps over, so during the day I will relax because tomorrow night there will be many hours of Guitar Hero and Wii Sports!!! Good times. Tiring, but good!
So that's about it for now. Wish I had more to write about but it is getting close to my bed time! lol Happy weekend!!!

I got a kick out of reading about the weekend appointment and you being so good as to allow your hubby do the "dirty work". Isn't it something when we know that what is about to happen is for the best but still cringe when we know that it will cause pain?

This weekend I am all about pulling out Christmas decorations, cleaning out the spare room (there will be a lot of purging goin on), decorating another spare room, and cuttin beans.
Looks like your Giving Thanks list is growing. Yay! I'll be back to watch it grow.
Oh, and have fun with that Guitar Hero. Such a fun thing to do with family!

Yeah, I know all about the Rock Band and Wii Sports. The worst part is that my kids make me sing and that's not a pretty picture.

Mexican food is def one thing i miss while being overseas. Even the places that serve it just aren't that good. That said, we do have an On the Border that we visit every so often just to get our fix. :)
