Ahhh...I love Saturday. I just love weekends, period. No work, just fun. Friday nights we all go to Mom and Dad's for family dinner night. I look forward to this time with my family, even when it can be stressful. When you get a roomful of loud, opinionated Greeks together, sometimes it is stressful. But they are my family and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. I know how blessed I am that we can all be together so often! All of the pictures in this post were taken last night. My awesome little nephew looooooves to get his picture taken. He is all about being the center of attention....and I have nooo idea where he could've gotten that from...

Just sayin'...

Anyhooo, I did one of my favorite things today.....SHOPPED!!! Not as much as I would have like to. I woke up with a raging headache and got a slow start till it subsided a bit. My little home remedy always works: Coke, in a can only, and a handful of Motrin. OK OK, I don't take a handful, more like 3...
3 tablets people! NOT 3 handfuls! I know my mother is reading this right now freaking out!!!

My other favorite thing to do on Saturdays is to be able to spend it with Kevin. We pretty much do everything together, with the exception of papercrafting for me and golf and fantasy baseball for him. But really, everything else, we do together. There is no one else each of us would rather be with. And I am so lucky that he will go shopping with me, and not complain! Seriously! I drag him to craft stores, gift stores, book stores, girly stores...he goes along willingly. Not only that, but he will go to these stores for me if I can't. Like when I ran out of my Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil , he went to Sephora for me. He will even go to CVS, alone, and buy girly things for me...and he always gets it right! The man is a true gem!

So we shopped together today. We went to Borders, because I was in search of this new magazine being raved about on decorating blogs, Flea Market Style. They didn't have it yet. :( BUT, I never walk out of Borders without something! I got the latest issue of Food Network magazine , a BH & G Special Interest mag about organizing, and the British edition of Country Living .  Have you ever checked out the British edition of CL? I loooove CL and have subscribed for a few years, but once in a while I will pick up a copy of the British edition at Borders. It is awesome!!!

While at Borders I also picked up two cookbooks that have been on my wish list for a while now: Barefoot Contessa Back To Basics and Apples for Jam by Tessa Kiros . I'm always thinking....before we left the house I printed out TWO Borders coupons and sent Kevin through the line with one of the cookbooks and the fantasy baseball magazine he was getting. I went through with the other book and my magazines. So I get away with two fabulous hard cover cookbooks without freaking Kevin out over the price! Always thinking......  ;-)

Man, I just love that kid so much!!!

OK, so those pictures really have nothing to do with the post. I just wanted them here! Because I like to make people smile. And how can you not smile looking at that kid?!!

That's all I got for now. My sweet hubs asked me if I would make him chocolate chip cookies tonight, so I did. He does so much for me and usually only asks for simple things, like homemade chocolate chip cookies. They came out of the oven a little while ago. I want him to have them while they are warm. Then we are going to find a movie to watch.

Hoping you all are having a fantabulous Saturday!!!

girl, love me some Jonathan! And that Flea Market Style mag. I saw tonight at Target, couldn't justify the 9.95 price for as thin as it was, but it had some good stuff in it. I may go back for it!
PS,Kevin is amazing! :)

That is SO sweet that your husband does all of these thing with you. I am finally able to say that my husband has off on Saturdays!! We've been together for 14 years and he finally has Saturdays off. BUT, he is tired because he works until 7:30am Saturday morning. So by the end of the afternoon, he is getting very tired. But, I'm thankful to have him. The first Saturday he had "off", we just looked at each other and said, "OK, what do we do now?". We weren't used to having a day off together. LOL! So that is the day we went to play pool and darts.

God bless your husband for going into the store and getting you girlie things. Mine will pick up makeup, deodorant, stuff like that. But, if it has anything to do with the time of the month, he would not do that one. So kudos to your hubby!!!

Jonathan is adorable!! His eyes are beautiful. Yep, he did make me smile!!!

Sounds like a great Saturday. Your nephew is adorable, and your Mom is just beautiful (I know you take after her) And you Dad is quite handsome. A husband that goes shopping? You are a lucky girl! Hope you have a fantastic week. Hugs, Kathleen

I have to admit it is far better if I DON'T go shopping. I like it TOO much. My husband is not averse to buying things for me like tampons and such. He says that he's not embarrassed it lets everyone know he's got a woman...

Cute nephew. What a little ham...

This is such a warm-fuzzy post! Love it. Your nephew is adorable. Being an aunt rocks. Also fab is having a husband who will buy girly products for you. I am lucky to have one like that. And isn't the Food Network mag awesome? I finally broke down and subscribed. I want to hear more about this Flea Market Style mag when you get your hands on it.
