Randomly scattered...

[google images]

So, this is going to be one of those posts that is kind of here, there, and everywhere. That is kind of how I am feeling these days. Random. Scattered. A bit discombobulated.

I have a lot of things in my mind I could post about. And I really really wanted to post something. I have missed writing. I just can't seem to organize my thoughts too well. So I will do what I do best....just go with it. Whatever signal my brain sends to my fingers as I type...that is the thoughts that will show up on your screen. It is what it is.

So, yeah. The picture above. Absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the content of this post. Nada. I just like it. And Easter is coming. So, you know, just go with it... And if you want to read more about Peeps, visit my friend Jesse's blog and read this post. He has a knack for finding all those facts you never knew you wanted to know...

As most of you know, my hubby was down with pneumonia last week. He spent a few days in the hospital, too. Thankfully he is home now and feeling much better!!! I truly do appreciate all the support we got from my blogging friends. It means so much!!!

With Kevin being sick all last week, my routine was all kinds of messed up! I feel like I am still trying to get back on track with everything, blogging included. I feel like I have missed a lot. If you visited my blog and I have yet to respond to a comment or visit you, please know I am getting there. I promise!

Kevin being sick last week also made me realize something. Well, it is something I knew already but seeing him a hopital bed for a few days really drove it home for me. Never EVER miss a chance to tell the people you love that you love them! NEVER! Now I know pneumonia is very common and I would have him home in a few days but I really felt his absence while he was gone. I already know he is the most important person in my life, but not having him around for a few days really drove that point home. That is why I never miss an opportunity to tell him I love him. The same goes for my parents, and my brother and nephew, and mother in law. I don't care how old I am, I don't care who can hear me, I will always always tell them I love them! Life is way too short for regrets.

Another sort of revelation I had...I say sort of because I have pretty much known this all along but yesterday it just really hit me. I waste my Sundays. And you wanna know why I waste them? Because I spend a big chunk of my Sunday wishing that Monday would take its time getting here. I don't like Mondays (don't blame me if you are now singing the Boomtown Rats song...). I like my job but I hate going back on Mondays after a great weekend. Does that make sense?! No, probably not. Regardless, I have to stop wasting away Sundays fretting that it is almost Monday. It so goes against how I try to live my life, which is to live in the moment, in the here and now. Don't lament the past and dread the future. Just be present in the moment and live each moment to its fullest. How can I do that if I am dreading Mondays?

Can you believe Easter is almost here?! Doesn't it seem early?! I love Easter but I am kind of bummed out that Orthodox Easter is on the same day this year. I like when they are different. When Orthodox, or Greek, Easter is on a different day than the other Easter, we have a huge party with all of our friends there. Everyone loves Greek Easter! This year it will just a quiet family day, and there is nothing wrong with that. And our friends Christa and Kevin will at least be there. But it will be much quieter than last year was!!! You can check out pictures of last year's festivities here and here. And you can check it out this post that I did last year to learn all about Greek Easter!

Speaking of Easter, how about a little Easter humor? If you are easily offended you may not want to read it, even though I don't see it as offensive at all. But I know some are more sensitive than others. Here goes:

What did the Easter egg say to the boiling water?
(wait for it...)
It's gonna take a while to get me hard. I just got laid by some chick!

If you tell me you didn't at least chuckle at that one I will say you are lying! :-)

I work with this girl who asks THE dumbest questions EVER....over and over and OVER!!! I have started giving her equally stupid answers. I am wondering how long it will take her to get that...

Have you visited WOW yet? No?!? Welll.....YOU MUST! Because it is awesome. Because it was long overdue in the bloggy world. And really amazing bloggers are joining the conversation. And if you don't visit you will miss all that. So...go! Go! I'll wait...

See? I am still here.

Hi Kristen.....I love Easter. We are having a quieter Easter than usual this year, as well. So happy to hear Kevin is really on the mend. Pneumonia can take a lot out of you. I hate Sundays, and I have for most of my life...but, I don't really know why. Rainy here, dismal and damp. Let's hope New England will get the great weather they are predicting for the week-end! Hugs, Kathleen

Yes, I did chuckle and I also laughed at the picture.

So glad Kevin is home and feeling better. It's scary when someone we love ends up in a hospital.

I hate Mondays as well. You'd think I would love Mondays since kids go back to school after the weekend, but I am really weird. I actually love having my kids home and I look forward summer holidays. I think they should be 4 months, lol

Love the egg joke. I'd like to use it on my blog but I'm a prude. Sigh.

Cute joke! So glad that Kevin is on the mend. Sometimes it take an experience like this to make you really how much someone means to you.

Haha! That joke definitely made me chuckle.

I think what you have said here is a great reminder - to tell people you love them AND live each day to the fullest. They are the most simple things to do, yet they can be overlooked so easily.

Hope everything is great today!

Here we go thinking alike again!!! Kristen..you are amazing. We really do think so much alike. I am CONSTANTLY telling people I love them. I never want to live my life with a regret. I always want the people around me to know my heart.

I'm so glad that Kevin is home and feeling better. Sorry it took me so darn long to get to this post.
