Worth sharing...

No one has cornered the market on busy. You are no busier than the next person. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. It is not a matter of having enough time. It is a matter of having the right priorities...

I have no one to really attribute this quote to. It is bits and pieces of things I have heard and thought here and there.

Any thoughts?

I can't stand getting the excuse, "I'm too busy." What makes that person think the other one isn't? GET OVER IT! LOL

The "I'm busy" line is one of my pet peeves. It implies that I'm not! ;-)

I'm just too lazy...

I would answer this post but I'm the busiest person in the Universe so I can't comment.

Ya wanna know what chaps my hide? When I have been busted my a** for two days, cleaning the yard and garage and my kids say....I'M BORED! GRRRRRRRRR! Pick up the house then...you live here too! Grrrrrrr! Ok, I'm done now!

To me it is exactly what you say, it is the setting of priorities. If someone says they are too busy for something you want or need, something else is taking priority over your needs. So, you have to decide if you can accept that or not. KRISTEN! This is too deep!

Yes as a matter fact I do have a thought. I'm printing this out and posting it on my desk at work. We're all busy however some always think they have the market cornered.

"busy" is an excuse. Nothing more.

Two words I can't stand BUSY and BORED.

It's funny I am always busy, but I am never too BUSY...does that make sense, lol.

We are all busy, but as you said it's about priorities and too many people are using BUSY as an excuse to be LAZY and NOT CARING.

The key here is the link between busy and priorities. I'm a firm believer in the word "No". I think it's perfectly fine to say no to obligations, committments and "stuff" that you just don't want to do. NO guilt allowed. But that's about setting priorities and knowing your limits. If I'm going to be busy, it's going to be doing things that are important (priorites) to me and not things that I feel I "should" do or that other people want me to do. Just say "no".

What about someone who does a whole bunch of things and someone who does nothing? They both have the same amount of time in their day, but how they use that time makes a difference...
