Stamps to the Rescue

Have you heard about Stamps To The Rescue? The United States Postal Service, in conjunction with Halo Pets and Ellen DeGeneres is donating ONE MILLION meals to animals in shelters across the country! I love this!!! Animal rescue is very dear to my heart as our sweet Bailey came to us from a Beagle rescue. They gave him a second chance, which allowed us to become his forever family. Sadly, due to pet over-population, irrepsonsible owners who fail to spay or neuter, and monsters who choose to abuse innocent animals, shelters across the US are over-crowded and under-funded. By doing something as simple as buying a book of stamps, something most of us buy fairly frequently anyway, you can help these sweet dogs and cats have a chance at the happy life they deserve. There are millions of innocent dogs and cats in our nation's shelters, and, tragically, many of them will be euthanized for no reason other than lack of space.

THIS HAS TO STOP!!!!!!

Please, the next time you visit your local post office, ask for the Stamps To The Rescue book of stamps. These are the standard, first-class, .44 cent stamps that can be used on almost any piece of mail you send out. If you are going to buy stamps anyway, please, buy these. It is such a simple way to do the right thing.

That's a great way to support those poor animals. I will tell my hubs to pick up book of stamps next week when he's in US.

Animals are defenseless, and need all the help they can get from those of us with a brain in our head. Help animals...it is so simple.

So happy you blogged about this today!
Hugs, Kathleen
