As promised.....

......pictures of the fall touches I added to my home this weekend. This year, like last year, I kept things very simple, only putting out a fraction of the decor I have amassed over the years. I am finding I am much happier and much more calm when I don't have every single corner filled up. It takes me very little time to put things out, and, more importantly, very little time to put them away.

For September, I just put out some of my general fall stuff. October 1st I add in my Halloween decorations to the mix. Then on November 1st I put away Halloween and put out my Thanksgiving decorations. Then sometime in mid-November a Christmas tree makes its way in to the mix, and candles in the window, and...well, that is another post for another day!

Have you been to the Yankee flagship store in western Mass? I only live about 40 mins from there and I always go on Labor Day weekend to get more fall/Halloween decor and candles. They do the best display!; 9/07/2010 3:13 PM
