My most favorite type of day! So, to celebrate, how about a little giveaway?!? I knew that would get you excited!
What is the prize, you ask? Well, just something from one of my most favorite companies evaaa!!! Gooseberry Patch!!!

my favorite fall memory is filling up those plastic pumpkin bags with leaves year after year!! now i love watching my kiddos play in the leaves too(minus those bags! LOL)
Oooh! You have the best giveaways, and such a fitting title :) Count me in!
P.S.- Favorite autumn memory? I have to name just one?! :p I guess I would have to say my favorite would be the years I would go on the Haunted Hayride in Sleepy Hollow; on the way back from the ride, they would take you through all the cozy, decorated neighborhoods in town; there would be twinkling lights, and jack o'lanterns, even a woman who would dress up as a witch and cackle as we went by... All of that ambiance, combined with a crisp autumn breeze whipping at your face, and the sweet scent of hay, made for the most perfect autumn memory to me ♥
Fall is my favorite too. I liked your comment about the smell of apples. I didn't think of that, but apple cider and pumpkin doughnuts are a favorite memory. And congratulations on having a recipe in GBP.
Yay! A giveaway... I'll leave a comment, but I know I won't win, 'cause I never win aaaanything. ;)
My favorite autumn memory? Hm. It's probably (now) the new tradition we started last year of going to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze in Sleepy Hollow. Mr. J & I had SO much fun last year: everything we did was a blast, the weather was perfect and Sleepy Hollow was everything I had imagined it would be. This year we're going back, not for the Blaze, but for 2 other events and I think it'll be just as fun.
Other than that though, just the memories of trick or treating through our neighborhood. Our neighbors didn't disappoint, either with costumes or candy or decorations! :)
My most favorite Autumn memory is going to the pumpkin patch with my kids when they were MUCH younger. Now they are too cool for that...
My favorite Autumn memories are going trick or treating with my kids. My Momma didn't allow me to go...so when I had kids; we went!! We would make a pot of chili and eat then hit the road...staying until we just couldn't walk another step! They always had a wonderful Halloween...I made sure of it! Awesome giveaway, I have one on my site too!
FUN!!!
My favorite fall memory is running around the backyard and jumping into leaves with my dog charles!
Please enter me and if I happen to win will you autograph it for me?
My favorite fall memory is going to pick out pumpkins with Ashley and getting her all dressed up in her fall coat and gloves and hat. LOVED IT!
Congrats on your entry into G.P. I just love their collection. Off to see what else I have missed around here.
To be honest I've always LOVED fall; being as my birthday is in fall (this coming Thursday to be exact).
This would make an AWESOME belated birthday gift... hint, hint
Thanx again for hosting such a wonderful giveaway.
Such a neat thing Kristen!
There are so many wonderful fabulous fall memories. The best would be my wedding, outside on a perfect fall day with the most spectaular fall sunset you ever did see!
sorry I had to delete my previous comment - because I forgot to add my favorite fall memory, which is watching VC perform for the first time at the Renaissance Festival :)
Please sign me up. With you being published in it, I know the book has to be super-awesome :)
Well since you know that fall is my favorite time of the year it's hard to choose one thing. SO I'm going to say Applesauce Sundays with my nieces and Pumpkin Palooza with our sons and anyone else who can make it.
I would so love to win a copy of the book - Congrats to you again my sweet friend. Just think it's almost Thanksgiving and you big supermarket shopping extravaganza!
Leann
My favorite autumn memory is raking leaves into a huge pile, and then jumping into them!!!
In this season of my life I have lots of memories but my favorite was standing at the back door and watching my children spin and dance in the wind while the leaves were blowing all around them. They were giggling, laughing and celebrating the start of a new season. Still brings a SMILE to my face....:O)
Congrats on having your recipe publish in a GBP book! I know how exciting that can be.
MY favorite fall memories revolve around celebrating my son's birthday in Estes Park, Colorado. His birthday is Sept 22 so we always used it as a reason to head up to Estes to see the leaves changing, the elk bugling and rutting, and to picnic in the mountains on a cool, crisp, fall day.
Geez just talking about it makes me want to go back. He is 22 now so we don't go as often as we used to.
Having an October birthday was always awesome to me! My favorite fall memories revolve around my mom bringing Halloween decorated cakes to school to celebrate my birthday. Remember when they let you do that?!
I just discovered your blog after seeing it on the sidebar of another blog. Congratulations on being published in a GP book. This looks like such a cute one for harvest time. I see you live in New England which reminds me of my favorite fall memory. I visited New England in the fall several years ago. We went in the fall and traveled from state to state staying in B & B's along the way. I will always have fond memories of that trip. Your area is so beautiful especially in the fall. I hope to get back someday.
Thanks for hosting this lovely giveaway. I would be happy to be entered.
Happy Fall to you.
Kristen,
My favorite Autumn memory was of my parents and I going to Echerds orchard and picking apples. I just loved being part of that with them. The smell was delicious and my Daddy had so much fun teasing Mother and me. Then we would take our apples in the car and head for the long drive for my Aunt LaVerne's farm. We would each have "an apple for the road." Then when we got to my aunt's my cousin Janet and I would start peeling apples and our Mothers would perform the miracles of apple buttle, apple jelly, apple sauce and of course the very best ever "Auntie Vern's apple pie." This memory makes me smile and puts tears in my eyes. It is not just a autumn/fall memory for me but a love memory, as well.
Of course, you know how proud I am of you for getting in the book. We are all so proud of you.
By the way....my aunt and mother made apple butter....not apple buttle. My fingers got excited just typing the memory for me. Big hug,
Karen
Congratulations on getting in the book. That's quite an accomplishment! I don't have any of their books, but they do look good. thanks for the give-away.
Wow! I haven't blogged in sooo long, and then I come here, and lookie...a GIVEAWAY! What a way to come back...:)
My favorite fall memory has to be something that we have been doing each year. We have a pumpkin carving party out in our shop each year. We invite family and neighbors and friends of the kids from school. We started out just 10 or so people and it has turned into over 100! People call each year asking if we are going to have our party. It is so much fun...Everyone carves their pumpkins on our haywagons while standing on haybales. Gotta love it!
Hope all is good Kristen...time for me to get back into blogworld....Oh how I have missed it!
