~* "Sense" - sational Sunday *~

Each week on GLU we try to post about observing our world through our senses. I am trying to remember to post it here, too. Here is this week's list.

I see: A messy house. It has been this way since Kevin's cousins left this past week. It is weird....when there were five of us I was doing really good about keeping the house cleaned up and "presentable." You would think that would be harder to do with three extra people in the house. It is. But I realized I was doing it out of some neurotic need I had to not let them think I was a bad housekeeper. And I think I pressured myself so much that once they were gone I kind of said to hell with it and haven't really picked up since. I will get to it...soon..........

I hear: Mostly just the tags on Bailey's collar. Kevin is out on the deck grilling our supper and Bailey runs from door to window giving Kevin sad eyes in the hopes that Kevin will bring him outside and give him a hunk of meat! Not going to happen...but we will bring his bowl of food out to the deck with us when we sit out there to eat supper!

I smell: The above-mentioned hunks of meat sizzling away on the grill! YUM! Looking forward to that!!!

I taste: The iced tea I just drank, and soon it will be a nice juicy, perfectly seasoned piece of steak grilled to perfection along with fresh corn on the cob.

I touch: Tile samples. Granite samples. New furniture and appliances. And oh yeah, Tupperware. Holly had a Tupperware party today. Damn I forget how expensive Tupperware is. But I did buy a couple bowls that I love and they now have them in red which I love even more! The other stuff is for Mom and Dad's kitchen/dining room/living room re-model. Each weekend is spent helping Mom pick this stuff out! I am loving it!

I feel: A little frustrated that my heel is bugging me. It better not effect my daily walks. I refuse to let it. I am doing really good with my walking and I am start to feel and notice the positive results it is having on my health and body. Luckily it doesn't really bother me when I wake up in the morning and the morning is when we walk. But right now it is a bit uncomfortable and it is making me feel a little cranky.

I hope you enjoyed your Sunday!!
I wouldn't worry about the house..it'll all be there when you are ready to pick up. I think it's the after effects of having company. Besides, it's been too humid to do clean!!!
Good luck with your heel!!
Love your postings!!!
