Seeeee!!! I got some of it done! (sorta...)

For those of you doubting I made any progress with the craft room the other day (ahem! you know who you are!!!) I present above photographic evidence! OK, so it doesn't look like I got a whole lot done but believe me that above is a HUGE accomplishment!!! I am a stamp fiend, and though I have gotten a bit away from this particular brand lately, I pretty much started building my collection with Stampin' Up. And as such, I have a LOT of SU sets...uh, over 200 to be exact (thank God Kevin forgets to read this blog most of the time!!!). Add to that the rest of the stamps I have and I am looking at probably close to a 1000 stamps!!! So just getting those SU sets organized (and purging some that I know I will never use again) and organizing a bunch of books took a good chunk of the day. And I will do more in there on Sunday and Monday again. So I am feeling good about the progress...not great, but good. I am just itching to make stuff (oh yeah, and I kinda, uh, need to make stuff...wayyy behind on some things...). I also got all of my clear/unmounted sets organized, too. Still unsure what will go in those top cubes. Right now the two baskets in either end cube hold minibooks I have made. The larger basket in the middle holds blank books, project stuff to be filed away, cards and tags I am saving for projects, etc. The stack next to it is many many many sets of alphabet stamps, and the galvanized bucket holds clear alpha stamps. The cube to the right of that holds my sewing and knitting/crochet books and the little basket holds fat quarters of fabric.

I looooooove my little display on the top of the cubes! And of course my absolute favorite is the sign on the wall! Got that in North Conway at one of my favorite little gift shops. It is perfect for this room, because this room, is, of course, all. about. me. The "K" and the "D" you see there are actually two giant stamps!!!

On Sunday and Monday I plan on tackling the massive task of organizing my patterned paper. Actually, it may not be too bad. Most of it is already put away but I am running out of space in the holders and I have a load that I have bought in the last couple months that needs to be sorted and put in the proper pouch. I also have a lot of kits that I still haven't used yet that need to be organized in to bins and baskets and added to the shelves. After I deal with the paper I will deal with all the new stamps I have purchased that need a home. Then it is on to my counter top. At some point in the near future I have to be brave and open those closets and fully clean them out. If they were clean and organized my room could be so much more efficient. Those closets are nice and deep and can hold a lot and both closets are all shelves.

One thing I am proud of from my cleaning sesh the other day is I did fill a huge box with stuff I am putting aside (a.k.a made Kevin lug it to the basement!) till AE has their annual yard sale. I will have to get a table! And you never know what could end up as a R.A.K. in someone's mailbox........

See the artwork on one of the closet doors?! My most favoritest person in the whole world made those...my little nephew, who is literally THE coolest five year old I know!!!

In other news, we are all set for some quality Tim time in September!!! Sooo excited! You would think it was my first time. It is sooooo not, though *wink wink*

Off to my MIL's for dinner tonight...oh joy joy.

It is going to rain again. Grrr. We have had so much rain. BUT, I will so take this over hot and humid any day so I  guess I shouldn't complain! I just want autumn to get here {{{sigh}}}

Big shout out to my friend Tanya for being invited to be a guest designer at Gutter Girlz! Rock on chica!!!

I have so much more I could talk about but I feel like this is soooo long already! I will try to come back later. Hopefully you will, too, if you can stand it!!!

Mwwwaaahhhh!!!

I am VERY impressed with your progress, although I think you're being too hard on yourself, calling yourself a stamp fiend when you only have a thousand or two stamps! (Can you hear the sarcasm??)

Seriously, though...great job! I love to see all the things you make your magic with!! And I am LOVIN' the KD stamps! I had no idea they were stamps! (I had certainly noticed the fabulous sign, but didn't want to comment, lest someone who doesn't know us take it the wrong way...)

May I request a close-up of your mini-books??? The rest of these internets need to see your awesome talent!!!

Kisses!
Tam

Hey Dolnack.....I have a tip for YOU. Stripper's Anonymous

Perhaps you're missing all the attention you got in your former career, and are trying to make up for it by stalking people!

And speaking of assessments, here's one for you: Mental illness help. http://www.nami.org/

I hear it runs in families.

If my mother was a nut case, and my brother's were bitter envious nutcases who can't let things go, I'd be asking myself if maybe, just maybe, the gene ended up in my chromosomes, too.

Kristen,

Love the craft room and the way you took charge!

I am so happy you are in such a wonderful place in your life. You so deserve it. If everyone could have as much love and TRUE friends as you do the world would be a better place.

To be so content with who you are is the one true thing I want. You are an amazing exampel to all!

Lots of love,
Dawn

GOOD...and I can only say stay away unless you want it spread. That is not a threat either. No one is as Dumnb as you suspect. Leave each and every one of OUr SISters alone.
Now, God bless you and the broom you flew in on.
