Crafty storage, and a contest!

I am always on the lookout for fun, inexpensive storage and organizational pieces for my craft room. The thingie, as I have taken to calling it, in the pictures above is one of those things. I found it at Marshall's recently just wandering aimlessly around their home decor section. It is definitely not something I needed or even thought I wanted, but I saw it and it spoke to me.

No, not really.

I just really thought it looked cool. Kinda shabby chic and distressed and a little vintage. And at $12, well, it just found it's way home with me...

Right now it is sitting on the counter in my craft room, which is pretty much the most logical place for it. I am storing different types of labels and journaling books and notebooks in it for now.

A real storage issue I have had for the longest time is finding something to hold all of my letter stickers, especially American Crafts Thickers. Those packages are long, and though most things I buy I take out of their packaging when I get them home, I like to leave Thickers in the package they came in till I start to use them.

I think I have a slight addiction to Thickers. Maybe...

But I digress. Because of my affinity for these yummy letter stickers I have amassed quite a, um, massive quantity of them. And I was just piling them up anywhere I happened to drop them when I got them home. Then I found it...the perfect basket! I got it at the Christmas Tree Shops (looove this store!!!). So now I can keep all of my Thickers and letter stickers in one contained place and can easily flip through them to find what I need!

And now for the contest!!!

This is courtesy of my friend Ashley's blog, which you should definitely check out!

Here is how it works: The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me, for you! What I make is my choice...though I am sure most of you will guess it will most likely have something to do with paper!!!

There are some restrictions and limitations though:
~ I make no guarantees you will like what I make.
~ What I create will be just for you.
~ It will be done this year.
~ You have no clue what it will be. It could be anything! Who knows?! Not you! :-)
~ I reserve the right to do something extremely strange!

The catch? You must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first five people that respond on your blog. And you have to be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it. If you don't have a blog we can work something out...but you should get one. Blogs rock...and all the cool kids are doing it!
