I've been tagged!!!

My sweet blog friend Mary, aka That Design Gal, tagged me with this fun getting to know you list! I have enjoyed getting to know Mary and now learned even more from her with this! You should all check out her blog...you will love it, too!

Are you ready for this?! Here are six random facts about me...

I am ridiculously, irrationally afraid of the dark. And basements and attics, too. We have lived in this house six years and I have never been in the attic! We have nothing up there anyway but I still have no desire to ever be up there. I have been in the basement alone but only once or twice and I grabbed what I needed then ran for the stairs...and this fluffy girl don't run people!!! If Kevin is not at home at night I have every light in the house on. And God forbid he has to go away..I make my Mom sleep over. One time he and my Mom were on business trips at the same time...I made my Dad sleep over. I have made my MIL stay over, too, and when I have had to take Bailey out at night I have called my next door neighbor to come out with me!
I looooove 80's music! Love love love it!!! And classic rock!!! I love these so much I am hopelessly out of touch with a lot of the latest music out there now...unless it is one of my favorite classic bands that is still making music now, like U2.
I think my most important job in this life is being the best Auntie I can be to my precious nephew. He is my world and I want him to always be able to come to me for anything.
Every day I think to myself many many many times that I definitely prefer my dog to people...
Sometimes I am quiet and withdrawn (those of you that know me "in real life" STOP laughing!!!) but other times I have no problem whatsoever being the center of attention...and making a total ass of myself! Case in point: my bachelorette party, 9.18.99, I spent the night in Boston with my girlfriends handcuffed to a very anatomically correct blow-up doll, wearing a veil with a crown of colored condoms, and introducing everyone we came in contact with to my "date!" Someday I will have to scan in some pictures (this was pre-digital days)...
Even though I like my job, I am definitely not doing what I totally love and by no means do I consider it a career. The thing is...I don't know what I want to do! There is lots of things I love, but enough to make it a career? I don't know. I may never know. And I guess I am OK with that. My job doesn't take up a ton of my time, and it helps us to live a life we love together.

Now I have to tag six people. Like Mary, I would like to get to know some of my blog friends better, so for that reason I am not tagging a lot of my friends that blog that I have known for years. You all know who you are. And you know I love you! Please don't think I am leaving you out! Mwwaaahh!

thatdesigngal said...: YAY! FUN! Thanks for the kind words! I hear you about the dark. Chris is gone every week for work (*tear*) and let me tell you EVERY light is on in the house. There is a comfort in being able to see things. And it is one of his big pet peeves to have lights on when you are not in the room! SHHH! Don't tell!
