RIP Little Pumpkin.....
August 27, Peabody MA: Little Pumpkin, age 3 months, died unexpectedly sometime between August 25 and 26. The cause of death is undetermined, but it is a possibility that Little Pumpkin suffered from BGS (Beginneris Gardeneritis Syndrome). Little Pumpkin was pre-deceased by his cousins Monster Zucchini and Little Butternut and his special friend, Weird Cucumber. He is survived by his close friends the Pepper siblings: Jalapeno, Banana, and Green and the Tomato family: Big Boy and his wife Roma, and their children Cherry and Brandywine, and many herbs and flowers. There will be no burial as Little Pumpkin expressed a wish that when his time came he be cremated and his seeds be scattered on fertile earth. In lieu of flowers, please send donations of good thoughts to the DeSimone Family Garden Trust for a Successful 2010 Pumpkin Harvest.

Bummer...sorry about your pumpkin. I didn't have much luck the first year I tried either...but I will try again someday and so will you!! Hugs, Amy
we've never had any success with pumpkins either. Gosh, you have had a lot of vegetative losses lately!
Yeah, I think the zucks and cukes and butternut have run their course. We did get lots of cukes and zuchs though before they kicked it. Now, pepper and tomatoes we have coming out the wazoo...still!!!
YOU, my friend are freakin' hilarious!
Sorry for your loss, Kristen. It's because of all the rain I am sure.
Hugs!
Aww what a shame!
I am totally OBSESSED with pumpkins!!!
My mom just gave me pumpkin chai tea (sounds like heaven!), pumpkin coffee, and a pumpkin candle.
YAY to fall scents! :)
I'm so sorry for your loss.
LOL! Poor pumpkin....
Too funny. Sorry 'bout his untimely death!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Leann
