Saturday stuff...

~* Autumn Mums, 9.19.09 *~

I feel like I have been a bad blogger lately. In all honesty, with the preoccupation with my Mom I haven't had a whole lot to blog about. So I am sharing some random stuff this Saturday.

Aren't mums just so pretty?! They are so autumn-y, and vibrant, and lush! I love a big overflowing pot of richly colored mums! So fallish!

The trees near us are changing colors and showing off their autumn finest!!! I just love it. These aren't the greatest pictures but those trees were a mix of all the best shades of the season: deep red, amber, gold, browns, and green. Natural beauty...love this!

This little guy was just hanging out on the railing of my deck. Again, my point and shoot didn't capture his colors all that well, but I knew that by the time I got my dSLR out and ready he would have flown off. But, he sat there and posed! Let me get really close, too, without flinching.

Look at those buggy eyes!!!

Well, not too much on the agenda today. I have actually been up and out of the house since 7:30 this morning. We had a staff meeting at work this morning. Ugh! Thankfully we only do this every few months and mercifully it only lasted an hour. But it is a gorgeous fall day and that early there is no one on the road. I picked up one of the guys I work with that lives nearby (he and his wife are sharing a car at the moment), we grabbed coffee, and headed off, then met up with some of our other co-workers (the ones we like) in the parking lot and hung out enjoying the blustery, sunshiney, fall day before heading in. Then I was back home by 9:30! Just washing a load of towels while Kevin grocery shops. When he gets home we will run a few quick errands together then the rest of the day will be spent hanging out around the house.

We have a fun day planned tomorrow! We are going here:

We are going with our friends Sue and Steve and making a day of it! It is a two hour ride from here down a very scenic roadway. We have all been several times before but I can never get enough of it! And we are looking forward to spending time with our friends! And Bailey is looking forward to spending the day with his YiaYia and Papou! lolol We are bringing him over my parent's house in the morning since we will be gone all day. They have a big fenced in yard so he can run around for hours if he wants then he likes to just go up on the deck and snooze in the sun. Ah, a dog's life!

So I will have lots of pictures from our outing to share...and my Mom will snap lots of pics of Bailey all day!!!

You are so lucky! You do know how hard it is to take a picture of a dragonfly in motion? Man, I try and try and it never works out. And here you go, you had a dragonfly actually POSE for you? There's a baby blue one in my backyard, but I don't know exactly where. Everytime I try to focus, it's gone, hahahaha

By the way, your dragonfly is GIGANTIC. I mean, it looks like a mutant, super-sized, blown up version of the ones we have out here in Seattle!

The color of the mums are beautiful..I don't think I've seen that color here. I love it when you start posting fall pictures from New England....Love, love, love it!

Our trees here in Ohio haven't reached full bloom yet..

Jealous of your trip tomorrow!
