Crafty Saturday!

I got to spend Saturday afternoon at my favorite papercrafting store with my awesome Mom and good friends! To me, there is not much better than a crafty Saturday surrounded by people I enjoy, learning from people in the industry that I admire, and being in a room full of creative women ... and being able to shop, too!

We were lucky to have Lynette Carroll here to teach a fabulous Christmas-themed class. We created a big piece of wall art entitled "Christmas In My Heart." I. Love. This. Project. Love it! I still have a couple panels left to finish then I will frame it. I am holding off on posting it till it is done but you can see the instructor's piece in the photo above.

And I got to be there with my beautiful Mom!!!

My good friend Christa came with us! And then I was surprised to find out my good friend Tanya (who just got engaged! go congratulate her!) signed up for the class, too!

Mom always concentrates so hard! She is such a good student!

Christa did, too! Me and Tanya ... yeah, we are a little more chatty!!! :-)

What a great way to spend a Saturday! We had a birthday tailgate and now I am studying my pants off. Class isn't until mid November but I am worried I won't get things done if I wait til after!

Definitely a fun time! Did you finish your project? I came home after work and stayed up until 1230am and finished it. I need to get a frame for it now and I'm ready to finish it off!
Such a fun class!

I love your mom's focus. It is good to see someone with focus - I know not what that is like most days!!

I am so jealous. I'm desperately seeking a papercrafting store and failing. I keep looking for cool Christmas paper and I'm finding nothing!
