It goes so fast...

Remember the trees across the street from my house that I wrote about in this post and the drastic change they went through over the course of just two days? This is what they look like today, just three days after the second picture from this post. Autumn just goes by so fast doesn't it. Well, I guess in calendar terms the season is the same amount of time as the other seasons, but the real autumn ... the beautiful, ethereal, breathtaking autumn just passes by in an instant.
This is what our street looked like when I came home this afternoon...
Of course it is raining, but the trees are past their peak. This would have happened with or without the rain.
Our street looks like a winding ribbon of gold. It actually is really pretty against the wet pavement...
I know most people don't feel that way. They see these leaves as a mess, a nuisance. Not me. I never tire of them, whether they are on the trees or off.
(Please don't mind all the garbage cans in these pictures...today is trash day...)

I love it when the Fall leaves cover the streets :) It's my favorite season, and yes, it goes by way too fast! Just stopping by from SITS :)

It is kinda sad how fast the leaves change, then fall off the trees. I love your pictures, Kristen - Rain, garbage cans and all!

I love the leaves too Kristen! I like leaving them on the lawn for a while. My neighbors have sycamore trees and I even love it when their huge brown leaves litter my lawn. So natural and wonderful! Thanks for sharing your pic...we don't get that color here! HUGS<

I'm with ya girl! Leaves on the trees or on the ground are fine with me! (Well, I suppose until I had to rake them, I guess!) Yesterday I was in Wakefield and this one house - the tree had literally shed all of their beautiful yellow leaves onto the ground, they had a yard of yellow leaves, it was so pretty!

It is sad to see the leaves fall off the trees...when we took a drive last weekend some of the trees were bare...but I am enjoying it as much as possible:)
