Enough already!!!

This is just a rant. Nothing more. And for those of you that don't live in Massachusetts it really won't mean much to you. We are having a special election in MA tomorrow to fill the Senate seat left vacant by the death of Ted Kennedy (may he rest in peace).

TOMORROW CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH!!!!!!!

Never, ever, EVER in all of my voting years do I think we have endured such an obnoxious campaign. First off, both candidates suck!!! In my opinion neither are worthy of filling Senator Kennedy's seat. But that aside, for the last month every. flippin. commercial. has been one of them bashing the other. It wasn't even this bad during the Presidential elections. And if the constant barrage of ads on TV and radio weren't enough, the phone rings day and night with recorded messages of why we should vote for one or the other. Or it is some special interest group taking a poll. Or just some backwoods hick that is clearly not even from MA trying to pursuade us to vote one way or the other.

AAARRGGHHHH!!!!!! ENOUGH!!!!!!!

If anything, all this incessant self-promotion has done has made me dislike both candidates even more. Voting is tomorrow and I haven't got a clue who to vote for because I can't stand either one. They both, even the one that represents the party that I am a part of, want to do things that I don't agree with. So what to do? Choose the lesser of two evils?

Jerry Garcia once said, "Choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil."

Hmm. Be glad you don't live in MA tomorrow...

THANK YOU! I was just talking about this to my mother this morning. It's been sooooooooo overdone that I don't want to see EITHER of them win!

This is why I so hate politics! I can't stand that nasy ad campaigns. Just makes me hate the person the commercial is endorsing. Awful!

I live only 5 miles from the Mass border, but luckily I've been spared the nastiness of that campaign across my airwaves.

Okay...here's my guilty confession - I get super excited about campaigns and the ads crack me up! I love it. I can't help it. Even though I got three from the same group in the mail at once. And...they weren't even from a candidate! LOL! They were from another 'group' for the candidate! I do know who I plan to vote for, though. But, I agree, neither can hope to replace Ted Kennedy. He was simply amazing and MA is going to feel the loss of that man for a long time.

Can't agree with you more, Kristen!
The election will be in the news after Tuesday but at least the phone will stop ringing.

Hugs!

UGH - we did have to go to work today and when we got home there were 5 messages from "them" and then at 6:02 I got another call... I vote in every election - even the primaries, but this has completely turned me off. I may not vote tomorrow.

Yeah and I will be glad to stop getting those stupid ad phone calls...I never answer and it leaves a message on my phone! So annoying!

Sorry to hear about that. I guess it's either choose the lesser of the two evils or not vote. I sure don't envy your spot.

Would not voting count as an evil too? :-) You know me, just thinking out loud.

Sure hope you figured out who to vote for.

I live right over the border in NH and this darn election has made news here as well. I think the bigger story is how ridiculous it has become.

It hasn't happened to me, but I have three or four friends WHO LIVE IN NH, who have gotten phone calls asking for their support. HELLO! Wrong area code!
