Today is our nephew's first day of school!
He is starting second grade! Second grade! Blows my mind!
Time goes way too fast! But, still, starting a new grade is a reason to celebrate, right?!
And our nephew loves him some CAKE!
Not that you would ever know it by looking at him...such a skinny, wiry little thing!
Yep, he loves his cake! And I love to make him happy!
So, I made him a cake!
(dontcha just love my decorating skillz?! HA!)
I will spare you the pics of what a disaster my kitchen was after this endeavor...
It may not be the prettiest cake around, but our nephew loved it and that is good enough for me!
When my Mom was cutting it up for everyone he kept saying, "YiaYia I want all three colors on my piece!" And my Mom kept pointing out that that would be an awfully big piece. He didn't care! He wanted three colors and insisted he would eat it all....
And he did!!!
Have fun today, Jonathan!!! Auntie and Uncle Kevin can't wait to hear all about your first day!!!
