Have I ever mentioned my obsession with...
No? Well, yeah. I have a little thing for them. I get ridiculously excited when the school supplies start to appear in the stores.
Brand new notebooks make me ridiculously happy! I especially love when I can buy a ten pack for $5! (I won't admit to how many of those I have bought over the years...)
Three-ring binders make me giddy!
Packs of brightly colored pens make me want to write and write and write!
I love the scent of freshly sharpened #2's!
I just love that line in the movie You've Got Mail when Tom Hanks' character Joe Fox says to Meg Ryan's character Kathleen Kelly (through their anonymous email exchange): "Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils, if I knew your name and address.."
Sigh. That would make me very happy!

Is it hot enought for your Kristen? I thought this was over with. Gonna hit the mid 90's today....HELP!!! Where is fall? I love pencil boxes, and I remember when I was in elementry school, my Mom would let me pick out a new lunch box every year. My favorites were Barbie and any cowboy!
Hugs, Kathleen
I'm the same way! I LOVE buying them every fall. I don't really need them but the prices are so darn good!
Kristen - That is one of my all time favorite quotes and now I must watch that movie...SOON!!
LOL! I love school supplies too. Just glad I don't have to buy them!
I too have an obsession with school supplies! As an adult college student, I have a bit of an excuse to buy supplies each fall now. Unfortunately, I don't need any of the fun ones like new crayons and markers. So, to indulge that part of the obsession, I buy bunches and bunches of school supplies that I loved as a kid and donate them.
Haha, being a student myself, I sort of dread school supplies... but I can see the appeal of the sense of new beginning :) ♥
I am right there with you! I'm a total notebook hoarder. Can't get enough of them!
I hope your eye is healing, and I love the cake you made for your nephew. You're an awesome aunt!
