~* 3rd Annual Fall Nesting Party at The Inspired Room! *~

Hello and a very warm and happy Autumn welcome!!!

I am so excited to be taking part in this year's Fall Nesting Party at The Inspired Room. Autumn is absolutely my most favorite time of year. If you have read my blog for some time now then you know how true that is. And if you are new to my blog, believe me, it will soon be verrry obvious!!!

I am a born and bred New Englander, and as such, I think that loving fall is in my blood. It is just part of who I am. What is more beautiful than fall in New England?! Please take a look around. You will notice on my right sidebar I have a list to all kinds of autumn links that I love. If you choose to go through my archives you will find many many MANY posts devoted to this splendid season!

I have a few things I would like to share with you for this year's party. If you click here, you will be directed to my post from a few days ago showing my home decorated for fall.

I would also love to share with you a project I do every year to document the season. I call it my Fall Journal, but I guess it is kind of a journal/scrapbook/notebook. You can view last year's completed journal by clicking here.

You will see that in these journals I record everything from the silliest, most mundane little things (like when I had the first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season!) to events with great meaning (my anniversary, holidays with the family, etc.), to my nephew's first day of school picture each year!

~* first day of second grade! *~

~* back to school treat made by Auntie! *~

This post details how I made the cover for this year's journal. And, finally, here are some pictures of this year's journal all ready to go. Being that we are in to September I have already started adding to it! Please excuse the quality of the pictures as I had to take them at night.

The first few pages kind of apply to the whole season. I have an intro page, and pages for candles, magazines, and books. This year I was published for the first time in an autumn Gooseberry Patch cookbook so there is a special page for that, too!

You will see little Post-its scattered here and there to mark where I want to put a particular picture...when I get around to printing them! ;-)

After the opening section, I have five dividers for the following sections: September, October, Halloween, November, and Thanksgiving.

I hope you have enjoyed this little peek at autumn in my world. For the next couple of months my blog will be almost all autumn, all the time!

What a great idea! Your journal is lovely, and especially for Autumn halloween! I write a diary and usually pay more attention to fall, with little drawings ect but I may try this, this year. What size are the pages? I like the ring style booklet... Thank you for the inspiration
