Instant Wall Art, Phase 2...

You may remember this post where I talked about making some super simple pieces of wall art to adorn the wall in one of our guest bedrooms. Well, I decided that three frames was not enough. Too much wall. So I bought three more super cheap frames for.....

Instant Wall Art, Phase 2!

This time I decided to use three frames in a more distressed white finish rather than a flat white finish like the first three. I like to mix things up like that. Matchy-matchy stuff is so not my thing. That is just how I roll, folks.

I did, however, use the same three patterns of paper and added some kraft cardstock in to the mix. Mixing three patterns is usually my limit. There is mixing things up, then there is just plain fugly, and it is a fine line, people...

Since the flat white frames are just each of the three patterns cut to fit the frames I decided to go with some circles for these new frames. My plan when I hang them is to hang three across then three below those alternating the frame finishes. My favorite way to cut circles is to use my Creative Memories cutting system. I am not a fan of the Creative Memories style of scrapbooking at all, but they do make good tools. Love their punches, too. I basically just went nuts cutting circles of all sizes from the different patterns. I also used my Stampin' Up scalloped circle punch, too. Since I know there are some pretty smart people reading my blog I will spare you step by step by step pictures of me basically cutting and inking circles. The pictures below show what I ultimately ended up with. And I am pretty happy with it!

I am really happy with how they look in the frames, too. And I am really happy with how they looked paired with the other three frames. I actually laid them out on the floor of my craft room to get an idea of how they would look and they work well together. I should have taken a picture of that but I am sure you would rather see them on the wall.

I am working on that...

This looks like something they would do on those HGTV shows! Maybe you should get your own show. I'd be sure to watch it!!

You recently commented on my 20 Things that Make Me Smile, and I'm returning the favor by tagging you for a meme. Hope this isn't a breach of blogger protocol.

Hi fellow Kristen! I used to use CM supplies and scrap all the time. I have about 16 albums. But haven't done anything in years now. Love the wall art. Really beautiful!

Checking you out from SITS!
