This, that, and the other...

our froggy couple we have had on our deck since we bought our first home...

That picture really has nothing to do with this post. Actually this post really doesn't have a subject. It really is going to just be about this, that, and the other...like the title says. Random...like me! But really aren't our froggies just so cute!!! We bought them at Christmas Tree Shop when we bought our first home and have had them ever since. They are always on the desk of wherever we live. They have aged and weathered over the years but they keep smiling...just like Kevin and me!

Aren't my pansies pretty??? Such a happy spring flower!

You want to talk random? The first spring we were here we noticed this little bunch of daffodils just growing in this random spot at the edge of our yard. They come up every year. There are no daffodils anywhere else in our yard. I imagine an animal or bird or the wind or something just carried the seeds to that spot. Who knows. They are a mystery. But they make me smile every year.

Have you seen this new magazine??? It is called Fresh Home . I spotted it the other day at CVS. I had never seen it before but the cover caught my eye. After giving it a quick flip through in my basket it went. Once I got it home and really got in to it I subscribed immediately. I. LOVE. IT. Love it! The magazine's tag line is: Easy Ideas For Hands-On People. The table of contents have headers such as How-To, Decorating, Outdoor Living, and Body & Soul. The magazine basically has a little bit of everything I love all in one!

This is just a random page I opened to. Did you know that turquoise is THE hot color for 2010?! Cool!

I am sooooooooooo soooooooo soooooooo excited to get our garden planted!!! I can't wait....but I have to. It is still just a little too early to plant around these parts.  So in the meantime I am working on a minibook all about our gardening adventures. I will document everything from last year (thank God for this blog because all the journaling I need is right here in my archives!) and this year and beyond! I am constructing the book myself so I can add pages to it as needed. I am approaching it the same way I approach my yearly fall journal : laying the foundation of each page so I can add to it as the season goes along. Here is a little teaser of some of the stuff I am using:

Right now as I am typing this post my phone rang and I mindlessly answered it. It allowed me to stay on the line and take part in a live Town Hall with one of our MA congressman about health care. I put the phone on speaker so I could listen for a bit. This should be interesting...

This is getting pretty good...I am going to go listen!

I love it when flowers come up in funny places...we would have flowers popping up all around our old house...Mom planted a few here and there and they ended up coming up everywhere!!

Too funny about the frogs...because when Dwen & I married I bought a piece of yard art....that is 4 frogs stack on each other the largest being at the bottom and the smallest on top...we say that is our 'new' family! Too weird! I have my tomatoes and peppers planted....still have to get some herbs. Working on flower pots too!

Hey Kristen

The statue reminds me of a song form grade school "Froggy went a courtin and he did ride." Do you know it?

Enjoy your weekend!
